How does measuring effectiveness help you as a client?
Every individual is unique and has a personal view about change and improvement. We choose to let our clients be the best assessors of their own progress in therapy. The sensible use of simple measures (ORS) can contribute significantly to assessment of real change in the world outside of therapy. However, if any client prefers not to use a measure we always respect that choice. The measures are there to enhance progress and act as a guide. Most importantly, we want to know if our work together is NOT effective so we can discuss sensible options and alternatives.

Why do we measure our effectiveness?
Research strongly supports the fact that if we ask you for feedback (SRS) about how the therapy is from your perspective and we adjust to work with you in a way that best suits your needs your outcome from therapy will be better.

People do not come into therapy to change their life but to change their future
